Project Description:
This project features large scale renovations to an existing facility and a fast track timeframe to complete all work during the school’s summer break. The facility remained open during construction but with careful phasing and communication the project was completed on time and without incident.
During the project, ReArch Company oversaw the rehabilitation of the existing gymnasium and fitness center. Five new HVAC units were installed to improve air quality, as well as new ductwork throughout, and digital temperature controls. The facility was expanded to include administrative offices and an elevator lift.
During construction of the elevator pit, within the existing structure, ledge and an underground water source were discovered. The ReArch team worked closely with project engineers to troubleshoot this challenge without affecting the project schedule. ReArch’s Superintendent spent several nights on site monitoring the work.
ReArch Company also oversaw the restoration of reclaimed bleacher boards which Johnson State used as paneling in the completed space.
