Senior Estimator
Reporting to ReArch’s President, the Estimating team prepares budgets, pre-bid packages, and full-scope estimates based on Design-Build and/or Construction Manager construction documents. In this role, you’ll work closely with general trades estimators and project management teams to develop schematics and construction document estimates, solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids and scopes of work, notify subcontractors and suppliers of awarded projects, prepare quantity surveys, review project plans, and specifications for both large and small projects. Estimators critically analyze bid documents and liaise with management to communicate risks and opportunities. Regular travel throughout Vermont and New Hampshire is a requirement to attend project site pre-bid meetings, site tours, and post-bid interviews.
We welcome applicants for the Estimator or Senior Estimator position, allowing us to match the role with the right candidate’s experience level. The starting pay for this position is $90,000-130,000/year, depending on experience.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of experience in preconstruction/estimating on commercial construction projects. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related degree program is preferred; an equivalent combination of education and work experience in construction estimating will be considered. Strong estimating, budgeting, negotiating, presentation, and interpersonal skills are necessary. Knowledge and experience with civil/site construction, foundation and structural systems, casework, doors, specialties, interior finishes, exterior building wall systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and sustainable and green building practices are desired.
