Project Description:
Developer Cathedral Square selected ReArch Company as the construction manager for Bayview Crossing in South Hero, VT. This 38,000 SF, 30-unit multi-residential building provides one- and two-bedroom affordable housing apartments for ages 55+ and those with disabilities. The facility includes a large common room with a full kitchen, an on-site fitness center, a community laundry room, and covered parking. Additionally, residents have access to an on-site SASH coordinator, with a part-time wellness nurse, and social, educational, and recreational programming.
The building is wood frame construction with slab on grade floor systems, engineered wood truss systems, a combination of flat and sloped roof systems, with clapboard siding. The building incorporates sustainable design features and receives Efficiency Vermont’s Multi-Family High-Performance Certification.
Sustainable features include but are not limited to:
- Advanced mechanical and electrical systems
- Rooftop solar panels
- Air-source heat pump system
- Triple pane windows
