Project Description:
During the aftermath of Hurricane Irene the lower level of the Simon Pearce visitors center was destroyed by flooding. ReArch Company was contracted by the Owner, Simon Pearce, to provide construction management services for the restoration and expansion of the facility.
The scope of work included incorporating salvaged timbers and barn board to create a welcoming and rustic environment. The building’s mechanical and lighting systems were also upgraded and new glass blowing hoods were installed. Throughout construction ReArch gave special attention to insuring the core and shell were properly and safely restored from the extensive water damage to ensure the facility’s long term performance.
