Project Description:
Lebanon, NH-based Adimab, a leading provider of therapeutic antibody discovery and engineering technologies, hired ReArch Company to expand its existing facility. ReArch worked closely with the design team, Christopher Smith and Sylvia Richards, on this 27,800 SF, three-story mass timber structure where sustainability was a primary design and construction driver.
Adimab chose to use a glued laminated and cross-laminated timber structural system for the bones of their new facility because of its carbon-sequestering properties. Other decisions reflect the same interest in minimizing the facility’s load on the environment, including highly efficient HVAC systems, a rain screen system to seal and insulate the envelope, and natural material choices throughout the building.
The new building includes state-of-the-art laboratories, open office spaces, and meeting rooms. The exterior site work includes a satellite parking lot and a pedestrian footbridge that will delicately span existing wetlands leading from the new employee parking area to the addition.
The project was completed in spring 2024.
