Today ReArch Company, Inc. announced a $30,000 donation to the Vermont Foodbank. ReArch is committed to philanthropy and one of the missions that we support is helping to fight hunger across Vermont. The Vermont Foodbank is leading this charge; therefore, ReArch has pledged $30,000 over the next three years to help them implement this meaningful mission.
“ReArch holds philanthropy as a core value, especially when it helps so many Vermonters that are in need”, says ReArch Company COO, Stephen Savell. “We were amazed when we learned how many people utilize the services of the Vermont Foodbank, including many of our school children throughout the State, so donating to this great organization became an immediate priority for us and we hope to continue for many years to come.”
The Vermont Foodbank is the state’s largest hunger-relief organization, providing nutritious food and promoting health through a network of 215 food shelves, meal sites, senior centers and after-school programs, and directly to families, children, older adults and individuals at schools and hospitals. ReArch’s donation will help to make sure there is food available to the one in four Vermonters who turn to the Foodbank for help each year.
The ReArch Team has very enthusiastically worked together to fight hunger in Vermont by doing several events throughout the year, such as:
- Picking apples in support of Vermont Foodbank’s “Pick for Your Neighbor” program
- Donating Turkeys at Thanksgiving to The Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf
- Collecting food items for HOPE in Middlebury, Vermont at our holiday party
- Implementing a gleaning event in 2019 by deploying employees to Vermont farms to pick excess vegetables for the less fortunate
ReArch Company is committed to donating a significant portion of our profits annually to local charitable organizations and have recently implemented a program that allows employees to request donations to organizations that are important to them.
“We are incredibly grateful to ReArch for their generosity and commitment to ending hunger in our state,” says Vermont Foodbank CEO, John Sayles. “This donation will ensure that when our neighbors fall on hard times, they can still access the healthy food they need to tackle life’s challenges and feed their families. Ending hunger takes the commitment of our whole community working together, and ReArch exemplifies this through the thoughtful and generous way they are tackling the issue.”
