ReArch hosted the annual company holiday party Saturday, December 11 along the shores of Lake Champlain at Hula in Burlington, VT. This year’s party was Hawaiian holiday-themed and featured several craft cocktails, including Mai Tai’s, Spiced Cranberry Martinis, and a staple Old Fashioned. Local restaurant, Great Northern catered the delicious food for the event, including traditional Hawaiian dishes such a Loco Moco, fresh tuna poke, Ambrosia salad, with all the entrees featuring Robuchon purple mashed potatoes, commonly used and grown in Hawaii. Following dinner, Chocolate Haupia pudding and Hawaiian dream cake were served with coffee for dessert. Throughout the night, there were two games played. The first game started upon entering the venue, and everyone was given a lei at the door. If employees talked about work, they would lose their lei, and the top three people at the end of the night with the most lei’s taken from their co-workers won a cash prize. The other game involved a scavenger hunt for pineapples, coconuts, and palm trees filled with cash. To end the evening, the lights dimmed, the beat of drums came on, and we had a fire dancer appear outside along the floor-to-ceiling windows for guests to enjoy. Even in 30 knots of wind.
